Copper futures fall on weak demand


Copper futures on Wednesday slipped by 0.64 per cent to Rs 606.40 per kg as contributors lower down their positions amid muted demand in home market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for February supply eased by Rs 3.90, or 0.64 per cent, to Rs 606.40 per kg in a enterprise turnover of 4,422 tons.

Analysts stated trimming of positions by speculators as a consequence of muted demand in spot market primarily led to the fall in copper costs right here.
