MUMBAI: After being on the run for five years, a 24-12 months-previous man, needed in a homicide case, was apprehended by the Mumbai police from West Bengal, an official stated on Friday.
Based on a tip-off, officers of Mumbai crime department’s unit-11 lately nabbed Pintu Ravindra Saradar, a resident of Nadiya in West Bengal, the official stated.
According to the police, Saradar was concerned in the dying of Suresh Harijan, who was killed throughout a scuffle with 4 individuals in October 2016.
The Vanrai Police had registered an offense of homicide and three individuals have been arrested, the official stated, including that Saradar had been absconding since then.
The unit-11 of crime department, which was conducting a parallel investigation, acquired credible details about Saradar’s whereabouts, he stated.
The accused was dropped at Mumbai and handed over to the Vanrai police for additional investigation, the official stated.
