The variety of people living in extreme drought could hit almost 700 million by the tip of the century, greater than triple the quantity at the moment. The complete space of land affected could additionally greater than double by 2100.

Yadu Pokhrel at Michigan State University and his colleagues have modelled how the quantity of water saved on land will change beneath various levels of local weather change.
