Commenting on the sales information, SIAM Director General Rajesh Menon mentioned that many states had been below lockdown on account of COVID-19 circumstances for many half of the May thus impacting total sales and manufacturing through the month.
“Many members (auto cos) had also shut down their manufacturing plants to divert oxygen from industrial use for medical purposes,” he added.
